Take Action - get involved today!

Together we have stopped seabed mining before. But we need to rally to put a stop to this nonsense once and for all - we need your help to make this an election issue.
It'll take us all to get our politicians to listen and ban seabed mining in Aotearoa.

Join the stand against seabed mining by taking some of the actions below.
Together we can protect our ocean!

Make seabed mining an election issue

The #1 thing we can do in 2026 is talk to our politicians

Contact MPs and candidates with your concerns.
Tell them that that kiwis want to protect, not exploit our oceans.

In your area: you can find your electorate and check you're enrolled to vote here or learn who is running in your electorate here.

Email or request a meeting to share why the moana is important to you and explain why we need a ban on seabed mining.

There'll also be candidate meetings held across the motu from now to the election. If you're keen, go and ask questions to get the issue into the debates, and get answers from the would-be politicians.

Party leaders & their environmental spokespeople need to hear that voters want a ban on seabed mining, you could email the following:

National: Christopher Luxon & Nicola Grigg

Labour: Chris Hipkins & Rachel Brooking
